✨ Cooking Tips

  • Instead of pickle spears, swap them out for dill pickle slices.
  • Before coating in flour, make sure to pay dry each pickle.
  • Make sure the cooking oil has reached the correct temperature before cooking the pickles. This will help make sure that the pickles are crispy, not soggy!
  • Don’t overcrowd the pit so that the pickles are perfectly crunchy and cooked.
  • Use a slotted spoon to scoop out the fried pickles from the hot oil before laying them out on a paper towel-lined plate.
  • To make the ranch dip a bit spicy, add 1/2 tbsp of sriracha or hot sauce.

✨ How To Make Air Fryer Pickles

If you don’t want to deep fry them, cook them in the air fryer instead!

Follow all of the instructions until it’s time to cook them. Make sure to spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray and lay out the pickles in a single layer.

Set the air fryer to 400 degrees and cook for about 8-10 minutes. Then flip them over and cook for about another 5 minutes.

Keep an eye on it until they are perfectly air-fried!

✨ Dipping Sauce Ideas

If ranch dressing isn’t your thing, here are a few other dipping sauce ideas:

  • French Remoulade
  • Chipotle Aioli
  • Green Goddess Dressing

✨ FAQs

Here are a few questions I get whenever I share this fried pickle recipe. If you have any more questions, please leave them for me in the comments below or DM me on Instagram!

Can I use a different type of breadcrumbs?

Yes! You can use any type of breadcrumbs that you like. I just used these GF panko crumbs to keep this recipe gluten-free!

How do I make this recipe dairy-free?

If Parmesan cheese isn’t your thing, simply leave it out. If you have a dairy-free allergy, consider swapping it out for a dairy-free parmesan option or just completely leave it out.

Serve it with a dairy-free ranch dressing. My favorite is from Kite Hill or Tessamae’s!

Can I use a different type of oil?

You can use any type of cooking oil that you like. I just used vegetable oil because it has a high smoke point and is perfect for frying things.
