Ingredients

Mint Hot Chocolate Ingredients:

  • 5 cups whole milk
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup mint chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 tsp mint syrup
  • 2 drops green gel food coloring

Instructions

Make Hot Chocolate on the Stove:

  • Combine milk and sugar in a large pot.
  • Place over medium heat until milk begins to simmer.
  • Simmer for 4 minutes.
  • Stir to combine, until sugar is dissolved.
  • Add the chocolate and mint chips and green food coloring.
  • Stir until combined and the chocolate is melted.
  • Remove from heat.
  • Add the vanilla and mint syrup.
  • Serve hot.

Make Hot Chocolate in a Slow Cooker:

  • Pour milk and sugar into the bowl of the slow cooker. Set it on low.
  • Stir until the sugar is dissolved.
  • Add the chocolate and mint chips mixing until the chocolate is melted.
  • Add vanilla and mint syrup and place the lid on the slow cooker.
  • Set to cook on low for four hours or high for three hours.
  • Add green food coloring and stir until evenly mixed before serving.
